| After a long and precise restoration, this beautiful XVIII century building opens its rooms to hospitality.
The stairs that introduce to the house, in typical stone pitch and with inserts of white limestone - XVIII and XIX century - have been perfectly preserved as some ceramic floors in Caltagirone’s style from the same period. Thanks to the tireless local workforce, lounges have returned to their original majesty. The chandeliers that light the frescoed ceilings have been redesigned, from the original ones, by Murano’s glassmakers. |

The 12 rooms (4 standard rooms, 3 junior suites and 5 suites) are disposed on 3 floors and are all differently furnished with design furniture, antiques, precious chandeliers and tissues.
Rooms on the mezzanine floor, characterised by vaulted ceiling in limestone and by large arched windows, are decorated with design furniture.
Rooms on the 1st level preserve the original floors and are decorated with polychrome ceiling which recall the colours of floor ceramics.
Murano’s glass chandeliers enlighten the high ceilings of 2nd floor rooms that are all trendy furnished.
Each room is equipped with all amenities: satellite tv, air conditioned, safe, mini bar, surround music, cordless telephone.
The junior suites have got steam shower while the Suites are all furnished either with steam shower or Jacuzzi and tv in the bathroom.
- The suite “Magnolia”, has got a terrace where you can enjoy a candlelit dinner or a typical Sicilian breakfast (with granite) during the summer. In the bathroom, with its gold mosaics, it is possible to relax in the chromotherapy bathtub by watching the play of colours reflected on the dome covered with mirrors.
- The suite “Ginestra”, located on the mezzanine floor has kept its vaulted ceiling of limestone and its bathroom has been embellished with white gold mosaics and a Jacuzzi.
- The suite “Geranio”, on the 3rd floor, with 2 balconies – one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom - is furnished with a king size bed with canopy tent, white armchairs in rococo style and an antique walnut cabinet. The bathroom characterised by satin glass walls is equipped with a corner Jacuzzi and tv.

Areas served: it is located in the oldest part of the historical centre of Ragusa- just in front of the cathedral- in an imaginary four side block of palaces built after the great earthquake of 1693. After the demolition of 1810, the palace was rebuilt in respect of XIX century style and finished in 1821. |

• BY PLANE:
The nearest stop (104 Km) is the International Airport of Catania (CTA), offering connections to major Italian and European airports, including all the capitals. From the airport a shuttle service goes to Catania station every 20 minutes. A direct bus service is available from Etna Trasporti linking the Airport with Ragusa.
• BY TRAIN:
Ragusa has a train station but connections to major Sicilian destinations are not so good and we suggest to drive to Ragusa once arrived in Catania or Siracusa. Guests coming from Taormina or Catania must change at Siracusa. For timetable please consult the Trenitalia website or call the green number 89 20 21
• BY CAR:
From Palermo take highway A19 Palermo-Catania up to Caltanisetta, continue on Statale 626 up to Gela and then take 115 up to Ragusa.
From Catania airport continue toward Siracusa and then take Statale 194 towards Ragusa (exit Ragusa Ovest).
From Taormina take highway A18 for Catania, travel the whole length of the ring road of Catania towards Siracusa, and then continue on State highway 194 up to destination. From Agrigento take coastal road 115 to Caltanisetta towards Gela, Ragusa.
From Siracusa take state highway 115 for Noto and Ragusa.
Those coming from Continental Italy must take highway A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria and exit on Villa San Giovanni to get to the ferries that go to Messina. From Messina you must get on A18 all the way to Catania. |

L’Antica Badia, has got two restaurants:
- “La Cuisine” in our first floor dining rooms , is open all seasons.
- La”Luna sui Tetti”, located on the terrace, has got a beautiful view on the Cathedral and on the old roofs of downtown. It is open only during the summer, when weather permits, for candlelit dinners.
For special needs: vegetarian or celiac menus, please inform the hotel upon arrival.
